Hello, you are bidding on a unique antique German WWI trench art Work. Sewing,Jewelry or trinket box. Hand made by German soldier during the Great war, exceptional round pantry wooden box with lid. The box completely hand decorated with hot iron pyrogravure and hand painted with milk paint Christmas and military motifs. All inscribed in German language. On lid top featuring Christmas Ball ornament in pine tree wreath and inscribed ''Weinacht'' On the lid border inscription ''Kriegs Jahr 1915 1915''. On the box sides you can notice Christmas garlands German Iron Cross and German Red cross with crown and date 1915 also some handing Christmas ornaments and candles on pine tee branches. The box in original condition as is found in private collection. Unique and unusual piece of soldier's art.
