This is an original German book.Original German book from 1930. Its title translates as 'The face of the World War'. The book is intended to show the real suffering and the real life and death of the WW1 soldier on both sides of the Eastern and Western Fronts. This is done by publishing more than 200 outstanding photographs that depict pretty much everything that the land war had to offer in terms of life, death, suffering, bombing, shelling, aircraft, tanks, tunnelling and more. It shows German, French, British, ANZAC and American troops. And once you have a look at these sample pics, then please bear in mind that you will only have seen about 10% of all of the photos within this book and that there is still nine times more photos that you have not yet seen. The book is hardcover and is relatively large size at 10" x 7". It has 327 pages + an appendix with a number of maps. The book is in good condition.
