Description

This is a signed photo of
Joey Maxim
(1922 - 2001),
an American professional boxer who reigned as
the World Light Heavyweight Champion from
January 24, 1950 to December 17, 1952.
He was born Giuseppe Antonio Berardinelli, in
Cleveland, Ohio. He chose the name "Maxim"
after the Maxim machine gun. His most famous
fight occurred on June 25, 1952, when he defeated
Sugar Ray Robinson in a 13 round TKO.
The autograph is on an 8" by 10" b/w photo.
PLEASE NOTE
:
the signature is
very faded
.
The first two scans show what the signature
looks like in a normal viewing setting. In the
third scan, I have significantly adjusted the
scanner settings to highlight the autograph,
and make it easier to read.
The inscription reads as follows:
To Bob
Best of luck
Joey Maxim
The signed photo comes with a certificate
of authenticity (COA)
from JG Autographs.
The autograph and the COA
are enclosed
in a plastic page, which is
open at the top,
allowing easy access to the photo,
while keeping it protected.
