    Description

Nice WWI German Death Card, RARE Tyrolian Uniform & Hat, KIA BY DIRECT SHELL HIT
    DESCRIPTION:
    R
are WWI German death card for an early Tyrolian soldier who was KIA by A DIRECT SHELL HIT. Wearing unusual Tyrolian uniform & hat.
Specifically, "Georg Wiesner, of the 2nd Tirolian Jager regiment, who heroically died for the Kaiser and Fatherland on Jan. 29, 1918, aged 25, as a result of a direct shell hit".
VERY CLEAR, VERY UNUSUAL PICTURE OF HIM IN UNIFORM with great tall furry Tyrolian hat. On the reverse is also a nice patriotic/military battlefield depiction.
Extremely difficult to find WWI soldier death cards anymore, but I am selling part of my collection and have a few nice ones to offer.
Very nice looking card, in excellent condition.
Original card, more than 100 years old, and a nice face and story to a very young soldier who otherwise would be a forgotten statistic.
No additional postage with multiple purchases.
Items are sold ONLY as historical artifacts and I respect any bans of such items in any countries where bids cannot be accepted.
A DIFFERENT, MUCH MORE UNUSUAL, AND HIGHER QUALITY DEATH CARD VS. THE MORE COMMON ONES GENERALLY SEEN ON EBAY.
