Very Rare 2 Page WWI German Death Card, Shown WEARING MEDAL, LARGE STEIN ON TABLE, and RARE COLORED REVERSE DEPICTIONDESCRIPTION:
Nice 2 page, FULL LENGTH WWI German death card for a soldier in a great photo SHOWING medal pinned to his chest. ON THE TABLE IS A LARGE STEIN AND HIS HAT. THIS IS THE FIRST CARD i HAVE EVER SEEN SHOWING A STEIN. Also, extremely rare that it has a COLORED PATRIOTIC/MILITARY DEPICTION ON THE REVERSE. He died DURING THE 1918 FLU EPIDEMIC.
Specifically, "Franz Prechtl, Infantryman in the 2nd Schutzen Regt, 9th Field Company, who died on July 19, 1919 at 6 am, aged 24, in the Linz reserve hospital, from a lung disease (FLU)."
GREAT FULL PAGE PHOTO of this young man wearing his medal, with stein on table. On the reverse is a VERY RARE COLORED BATTLEFIELD DEPICTION on the reverse.
Extremely difficult to find WWI soldier death cards anymore, but I am selling part of my collection and have a few nice ones to offer.
Very nice looking card, in excellent condition.
Original card, more than 100 years old, and a nice face and story to a very young soldier who otherwise would be a forgotten statistic.
No additional postage with multiple purchases.
Items are sold ONLY as historical artifacts.
A DIFFERENT, MUCH MORE UNUSUAL, AND HIGHER QUALITY DEATH CARD VS. THE MORE COMMON ONES GENERALLY SEEN ON EBAY.
PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS!!!
