Very Rare 2 Page WWI German Death Card, Rare Musician, MIA Since 1914, Shown Wearing Rare Musician's "SWALLOW'S NEST" UniformDESCRIPTION:
Nice 2 page, FULL LENGTH WWI German death card for a soldier in a VERY RARE MUSICIAN'S photo. :
Specifically, "Alois Jager, reservist in the 124th Inf. Regt, 6th Company, missing since Sept. 9, 1914 on the field of honor during the campaign on the Maas, who was declared dead in April 1917".
RARE FULL PAGE PHOTO of this young man wearing MUSICIAN'S uniform. Also interesting that the uniform appears to have been drawn/painted over a civilian photo. Probably was not one in uniform available when he left for the front so early in 1914. On the reverse is also a nice patriotic/military battlefield depiction.
Extremely difficult to find WWI soldier death cards anymore, but I am selling part of my collection and have a few nice ones to offer.
Very nice looking card, in excellent condition.
Original card, more than 100 years old, and a nice face and story to a very young soldier who otherwise would be a forgotten statistic.
No additional postage with multiple purchases.
Items are sold ONLY as historical artifacts and I respect any bans of such items in any countries where bids cannot be accepted.
A DIFFERENT, MUCH MORE UNUSUAL, AND HIGHER QUALITY DEATH CARD VS. THE MORE COMMON ONES GENERALLY SEEN ON EBAY.
PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS!!!
