Very Rare 2 Page WWI German Death Card, Great Photo w/UNUSUAL MOUNTAIN HAT Covered by Flowers, Combat Uniform, WITH RIFLE & COMBAT BAG, Etc.DESCRIPTION:
Nice 2 page, WWI German death card for a soldier wearing an unusual combat hat, rifle, etc. A sapper is also a very unusual military function. Died in an Italian POW camp "for the Kaiser".
Specifically: "Mr. Ferdinand Moser, sapper, soldier in the 26th Inf. Regt, who heroically died of pneumonia for the KAISER and the Fatherland in the Italian POW Camp in Beluno on Dec. 3, 1915, aged 20."
GREAT, VERY CLEAR FULL PAGE OUTSIDE PHOTO of this man wearing uniform, very unusual mountain hat, rifle, combat bag, & equipment/accouterments as shown. On the reverse is also a very nice patriotic/military battlefield depiction.
Extremely difficult to find WWI soldier death cards anymore, but I am selling part of my collection and have a few nice ones to offer.
Very nice looking card, in excellent condition.
Original card, MORE THAN 100 years old, and a nice face and story to a very young soldier who otherwise would be a forgotten statistic.
No additional postage with multiple purchases.
Items are sold ONLY as historical artifacts and I respect any bans of such items in any countries where bids cannot be accepted.
A DIFFERENT, MUCH MORE UNUSUAL, AND HIGHER QUALITY DEATH CARD VS. THE MORE COMMON ONES GENERALLY SEEN ON EBAY.
PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS!!!
