Description
BEWARE!Fake flags are constantly being sold to unsuspecting buyers by fraudulent dealers. Before buying anything, please do careful research to determine if the item you are bidding on is genuine. The above photos provide some basic details about what to look for in a
REAL
flag, and what markers are indicative of a
FAKE
flag. A variety of militaria forums online can provide more helpful information so that you can protect yourself from scammers! Don't let these people steal your hard-earned money!
Key Points:
1. 60 x 90 cm
or
3 x 5 ft
ALWAYS
means fake! Especially for German flags! These were never authorized dimensions for official use.
2. Standard Stamps for a Fake Flag = Wartime Year + City + Dimensions. All in the same font.
3. Fake flags are often crumpled up or stained to look old. Real flags will have natural mothing or fraying.
4. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is. Would
you
sell an authentic WW1 flag for 0?
5. Buy the item, not the story. The seller may claim their flag came from the battlefields of Stalingrad, but without corroborating evidence, their story is just a story.
Good luck!
P.S. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME OFFERS OR PURCHASE THIS LISTING. THIS IS A PSA AD,
I AM NOT SELLING AN ACTUAL ITEM.
THANK YOU.
