Original German book from 1920. It is an original training manual for the Imperial German Army Infantrist with incorporation of the experiences gained in the war to date. The book is called 'Der Feldgraue' (The Fieldgrey) and it is a special edition for Bayern (Bavaria) and the Bavarian Army. It does contain all manner of types of the training for the German Infanterie Soldier. Starting with the history of the Bavarian Army and the Bavarian Royal family, it moves on to the Imperial German Family and the other German Kings and Princes and other German states. The there is a bit about the war to date and a list and explanation of the military laws governing conduct under arms and penalties and awards, next is the structure of the Army and then uniforms, rank insignia and decorations (medals and orders) of the Heer and the Navy and so it goes...further it contains instructions about various infantry weapons, like the Gewehr 98. All of this is supported by one superb colour plates and many single colour plates and in text illustrations. The book is softback and has a total of 264 numbered pages.
