This is an ORIGINAL Antique Cigar Box Label created over 110 years ago -
i would estimate that there are only 10 or less of this label known  !!!!!!
All of these early Sports Labels are EXTREMELY RARE -   I wrote the book on this subject -- and you can see some pages from the book in this listing  --   Also this Label has been Graded by Global Cigar Label Grading Service -  They are the only service that grades or archives these antique masterpieces -  and they are VERY Conservative and Honest in their grading  --  Most of my important Sports Labels have been graded or archived by GCLGS -   When a label has been archived to protect and preserve it -   the reason it was not given a grade is most probably because it may have some Archival or Scrapbook or Sample Paper from a Sample book on the reverse -   This is NOT a problem as many of these were pasted into sample books by the Lithographers or box Makers -   and it is better to just archive them the way that they are instead of SOAKING them off the paper in hot water -   this is a terrible thing to do as most of the labels will lose some of the SUPERB VIBRANT color -  so i have chosen to leave them as is -  many of the Archived ones are virtually perfect except for paper on the reverse   --
These Advertising Labels were made by a process called Stone Lithography in the 1880's - 1890's --- It has been professionally Graded and Authenticated by GCLGS - A FANTASTIC Museum Piece!  -
