Rare Antique Wood Greek Orthodox Bulgarian Icon Triptych 18th Century Virgin Mary.
I came into possession of this rare triptych through a former sister-in-law (who is from Bulgaria) who gave it to my mother as a gift. After my mother passed away, I've been holding on to it for year and feel this is a good time to sell it.
See postcard on back for some provenance. This icon was likely painted in the late 1700's. The center panel depicts the Virgin Mary and Christ child. The side panels are likely 4 important saints (unknown.)
The wood has wear and some holes as would be expected with an antique of this age.
Approximate measurements: 12.25 inches high and 7.625 inches wide when closed. 15.25 inches open.
