Arguably one of the rarest holsters on the planet! This is an original unaltered holster for the 1910 9mm Dreyse pistol. Due to the design of the pistol which was nearly impossible to cock thus resulting in extremely low production and rarity. The holsters are far rarer than the pistol. Many of the holsters were modified to fit the Luger by adding a magazine pouch to the end and a take-down tool pouch was added to the underside of the flap which required removing the spare magazine compartment. This holster has not been altered and the spare magazine compartment under the flap for the 1910 Dreyse is intact. The holster is a beautiful russet brown, all stitching is intact, leather is supple and strong. The makers name appears on the back of the belt loop extension, and the letters “LP” are on the inside of the holster which indicates Prussian Landgendarmerie (rural police).According to Jan Still’s book “Central Powers Pistols” there are two of these known with the “LP” marking (see page 180). Also, on page 189 of of Jan Still’s Central Powers book there is a WWI photo of a soldier pointing one of these pistols. This holster is also appropriate for the Walther #6 which is even rarer than the 1910 Dreyse! On the 1-10 scale of rarity this is definitely a 10. Don’t miss this opportunity to blend a holster with your Dreyse model 1910 or Walther #6. Expensive but will add a significant amount of value in completing your rig. I will ship this piece internationally if so desired. Buyer to pay actual cost for international shipments.
